HISTORY:
Chase Scientific was originally founded as a consulting firm in 1987,
specializing in advanced high speed analog and digital communication
channels for the magnetic storage industry.
Chase Scientific first entered the computer based instrument market
in 1989 by introducing the world's first complete PC-based Oscilloscope
family of add-on cards designed exclusively for the IBM compatible
PC. Each oscilloscope system included a single add-on card and a full
graphics interface package (GUI) with automatic test capabilities.
Bandwidths ranged from 10MHz to 100MHz. This product family was phased
out by 1997 in favor of custom OEM designs which focused solely on
the Embedded Instrument Market including High Speed Data Acquisition
and Signal Generation.
TODAY:
Chase Scientific offers commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) digitizer/generator
solutions for a variety of applications from
10 MSPS to 1.0 GSPS in
PCI, CompactPCI, PC/104, PC/104-Plus, and ISA platforms.
See product section for details.
OVER 90% OF OUR BUSINESS IS CUSTOM. Chase Scientific offers
custom expertise covering a wide range of technologies including
high speed Digital/Analog design, Robotic Imaging Systems, Robotic
Assembly/Locomotion, and Artificial Intelligence.
FUTURE:
Chase will continue to grow its lines of data acquisition
and signal generation products. The primary focus in this area is
to offer even more compact size, lower power, and lower costs.
However, Chase will be moving its Computer board products (COTS)
over to a newly formed company called WavePond while Chase Scientific
will focus on R/D and custom development of new products.
